Today, the food industry uses both shrink and stretch wrapping for 1200x1000 and 1200x800 mm pallets. However, an increasing number of manufacturers are now using 1/2 and 1/4 pallets (display pallets) as well. These pallets are placed directly in the supermarket, the film is unwrapped after which the products are ready for sale – saving a lot of time and money as no personnel is required to shelve the products.
