Traditionally, shrink wrapping has been the number one choice for wrapping of chemicals. Today however, we see a clear tendency towards stretch hood wrapping, where a flexible stretch hood is applied over the load without use of heat avoiding
the use of gas otherwise required for the shrinking process.

Read on to learn more about the two packaging methods, which we recommend for wrapping of chemicals ensuring optimum load stability in the
most cost-efficient way.

    Stretch Hood is:
  • Flexible wrapping where the film hood adapts to the shape of the product, also in case of changes of the load circumference at a later stage due to less air in the sacks
  • No use of heat
  • Watertight packaging
  • Possibility for print on the film/colored film
  • High capacities of 150+ loads/hour
  • No lamination between the stretch hood film and the plastic sacks

    Shrink wrapping is:
  • Good load stability
  • Optimum bottom shrink where pallet and load are kept together in one tight unit effectively secured for transport
  • Watertight packaging
  • High capacities
  • Possibility for print on the film/colored film
  • Anti-lamination device preventing the plastic sacks from laminating with the shrink hood
